Immersive Earth Sanctuary

Inspiring a deeper connection to nature through curated mindful experiences, scenic retreat spaces, and ongoing sustainable projects.

Immersive Earth is a unique interactive nature sanctuary nestled in the Little San Bernardino Mountains on the Western edge of the Mojave Desert off State Highway 62 between Palm Springs and Joshua Tree, California.

The sanctuary serves as a native wildlife refuge and a wildlife corridor between 2 sources of water and is surrounded by 360 degree views of mountains. There’s a stream that comes down from the Big Bear Lakes area through Little Morongo Canyon on the north side of the sanctuary and dissipates into the ground. It then becomes an underground stream that literally runs underneath the sanctuary and comes back up to the surface via an artesian well which feeds several pods in an oasis 1 mile
downstream of the sanctuary. These features are what make the landscape so unique.

The stream of water historically ran across the surface of the sanctuary and altered its grounds in a way that is extremely rare in the Mohave Desert. This historic water flow created a unique desert landscape and biota (collection of life) that is evident at the sanctuary today.

Our organization has emphasized upon this uniqueness by installing the Ancient Nature Trail with earthen structures: The Ring of Fire, The Sunken Labyrinth, A Yoga Shack, Sound Bath Circle and The Grounding Dune.

These installations along the trail provide a greater body awareness and enhance one’s immanent connection to the Earth.

This facility is available for private events and scheduled curated hikes. There are accommodations for small groups that can make use of a community cabin, 4 casitas, 2 RV sites, a number of tent sites and a yoga studio along with other amenities that can be provided on an as needed basis to suit your needs.
